Red Ace Squadron: Definitive Edition is an independent community restoration of Red Ace Squadron (Small Rockets, 2001), distributed with the permission of one of the original developers. It is not an official Small Rockets product, and it is not affiliated with, sponsored, or endorsed by Criterion Software, Electronic Arts, or Epic Games. Red Ace Squadron is © 2001–2008 Small Rockets; all rights remain with their owners.
Using this website
- The site's original text and design are © the Red Ace Squadron restoration project. Game artwork and trademarks belong to their respective owners.
- Press and creators are welcome to use the screenshots, key art, and facts on the press page for coverage of the game.
- The only official download source for the Definitive Edition is this domain. Files obtained elsewhere are not ours and we cannot vouch for them.
- The site is provided as-is, without warranties; we work hard on accuracy but make no guarantees.
Installing and playing the game
- The Definitive Edition is licensed for personal play. Don't redistribute modified installers or pass builds off as official.
- Your installation and use of the game are governed by the End-User License Agreement below; the installer presents the same agreement.
- The game embeds runtime components from Epic Online Services. Epic provides those materials without warranties of any kind, and all representations, warranties, conditions, and liabilities related to the Epic materials are disclaimed.
- Online play depends on Epic Online Services being available; we can't promise uninterrupted service.
End-User License Agreement (EULA)
This End-User License Agreement (“Agreement”) governs your installation and use of Red Ace Squadron: Definitive Edition (the “Software”). By installing or playing the Software, you agree to it. If you do not agree, do not install or play.
- License. The Software is provided free of charge. The restoration project grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and play the Software on computers you control, for personal, non-commercial use.
- Ownership. Red Ace Squadron and its original assets are © 2001–2008 Small Rockets and remain the property of their owner; the Software is distributed with the permission of one of the original developers as a community restoration. The restoration project owns the restoration work, launcher, restored assets, and this website. No rights are granted except as expressly stated here.
- Restrictions. You may not sell, rent, sublicense, or charge others for the Software; present it as an official or licensed Small Rockets product; distribute modified installers or pass builds off as official; or remove or alter any notices. Reverse engineering is permitted only to the extent applicable law allows despite this restriction.
- Online services. Online multiplayer uses Epic Online Services, operated by Epic Games, Inc.; your use of those features is also subject to Epic's terms and privacy policy. Online availability is not guaranteed and may change or end.
- Third-party components. The Software includes the third-party components listed in the notices below, each provided under its own license.
- No warranty. The Software is provided “AS IS”, without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. You install and play at your own risk.
- Limitation of liability. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the restoration project and the original developers are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or loss of data or profits, arising from your use of the Software. Because the Software is free, total liability is limited to the amount you paid for it — zero.
- Termination. This license ends automatically if you breach it, or if a rights holder asks that distribution stop. On termination, stop using and delete the Software.
- Changes. This Agreement may be updated; the “last updated” date changes with it and material changes are noted in the site's news section.
